Dreaming Forward
I guess it’s official, Friends-
Whoever “they” are, they tell us that Spring has just arrived in our neck of the woods.
I’m unconvinced. Although earlier this week, I might have concurred…. especially seeing lovely sights like this:

Farm Gratitudes
We are SO GRATEFUL for Robyn at the Keeseville Free Library! First, she has rearranged her public area setup so that we could place a freezer inside, and fill it with quarts of our Sand River Community Farm Chili, Beef and Cabbage Stew, and Creamy Tomato Soup. (BTW, they are ALL Gluten-Free!)
And she regularly reminds her patrons to help themselves to a quart, plus she encourages them to bring one to a neighbor who might need a meal and/or some company. We Love how our intrepid Library Director brings light and love to our “small but mighty” Library, and how so many of our neighbors are taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity!
Last night we were overwhelmed with Gratitude at the AuSable Valley Grange, as over three dozen folks gathered for the very first Sand River/Fruition Seeds/Grange collaboration meal. The Grange celebrated their emergence from hibernation by welcoming us to their cozy space, and we shared fellowship and conversation over a delicious dinner of our totally farm-sourced Chili, Corn Bread and Sauerkraut. Afterwards we were mesmerized by Petra’s gracious and articulate invitations to not only remember our childhood gardens, but imagine our future gardens as well.
We played games and sang songs. We were mesmerized by Petra’s compelling stories of community, relationships, and caring for each other. As we opened our hearts to possibilities of what our gardens might look like in a few months, we discovered the generous gifts of seed packets with which to begin that adventure. Strangers were transformed into friends, and we learned about each other’s dreams for our seeds.
We cannot adequately express our Deep Gratitude to Fruition Seeds, who made this event and evening such a magical and heart-warming experience for us and so many of our neighbors. THANK YOU MATTHEW AND PETRA, we LOVE you!!
This Weekend at AuSable Valley Central School
This weekend the AuSable Valley Players are presenting "Seussical," a fantastical musical that weaves together Dr. Seuss’s iconic stories—primarily Horton Hears a Who!, Horton Hatches the Egg, and Gertrude McFuzz—into a heartwarming tale of friendship, loyalty, and imagination.
The show, which features a full live pit orchestra, runs March 20 at 7pm and March 21 and 22 at 2pm. Tickets start at $12. Buy at the door, online at avcs.seatyourself.biz or scan the QR code in this poster:
