Greetings Neighbors,
The corn seeds we planted two Sundays ago at the Farm Frolic are growing strongly—those that survived the crows, that is. We have replanted those that became crow supper. This neighborly planting work will provision next summer’s Gratitude Feast—all willing. Sunday’s menu includes slow-smoked lamb, butternut squash polenta, roasted potatoes, green salad, beet greens, krauts and more. If you’d like to make a dessert with some of the rhubarb we have harvested, please contact Barb Donela at 518.339.4006. Here are the Feast details:
We are thrilled to welcome you to the Farm.
This food is offered as a gift to anyone who is hungry for any reason. There is no charge.
The Feasts are alcohol free. Please leave beverages at home.
We will sing a couple of songs before supper. If you’d like to brush up on those melodies you can find them here: Fiddler’s Green and Hal-an-Tow.
Remember, the first Sand River Barn Choir practice will be Tuesday 6/18 at 5:30pm.
We hope to see you on Sunday!
Adam and the Sand River Community Farm Family.
